As a Fine Art Wedding Photographer I am lucky enough to photograph some of the most beautiful weddings in the world…but sometimes I crave to shoot just for shootings sake where there is no pressure, just a collaborative creative spirit. And so this editorial was born…created for the sake of creating…
Have few desires.”
― Lao Tzu
There is nothing more beautiful that the dawn of a new season…Spring, an old friend, a welcome guest should always be celebrated.
I wanted to put together a small team of British artisans to create because Spring was upon us and in my desire to embrace simplicity and nature we gathered to curate a bridal inspiration concept which heralded glorious nature, modernity with a hint of romanticism as well as femininity and its simple allure.
“Our life is frittered away by detail. Simplify, simplify.”
― Henry David Thoreau
Being Danish, candlelight has always been an intrinsic presence in my life since birth, we celebrate with candle light, the everyday and the special days alike, the cosiness and warmth emitted often goes hand in hand with the Danish concept of Hygge. The idea that everyday actions and plans can be made just a little more special by intentionally embracing cosiness. Lighting the fire place, using the ‘good china’, opening that good bottle of wine, being present and engaging with the present instead of always looking to the future or lamenting the past.
A Fine Art Wedding Photographer is subject to so much beauty and detail and loves it but sometimes simplicity is what the heart craves and the heart wants what the heart wants!
