The Nordic Way – A Fine Art Wedding Photography Workshop in London
October 20, 2017
‘I will always remember my first Fine Art Wedding Photography workshop. You created such a wonderful space for learning and discussion with likeminded people, which I honestly wasn’t expecting at all!
Thank you so so much for all your hard work and time for creating such a special two days, for organising such suitable and experienced talkers and for generally just being pretty awesome and approachable.
Best decision and investment I have made for myself and my business to date!’

I wanted to create a warm and welcoming environment in which attendees could learn, feel inspired and leave with a new set of friends and champions within the industry. I wanted people to leave with a renewed sense of confidence and knowing what they had to do to take their business to the next level.
I wanted to share my experiences so far within the industry, things I wish people had told me when I first started…This was to be more than just another fine art wedding photography workshop…
Day 1 was a day of classroom master-classes by Faye Cornhill, a business coach talking to us about pricing for success within the fine art wedding photography world. Maddy Jones educated us all about the power of SEO and Louise Perry gave us a charismatic talk on how to work with Wedding planners to improve our businesses.
I spent the afternoon going through all things marketing, branding, networking and social media…
The second day was a styled shoot which myself and an incredible team of creatives had put together to inspire the attendees and give them the chance to photograph for their portfolios
This styled editorial was centred around the Danish concept of ‘Hygge’… pronounced ‘hoogah’…a profound yet subtle sense of contentedness and cosiness infused into every day life.
The story of our bride and groom starts with them waking up slowing together on the day of their wedding…surrounded by the antique family heirlooms of the bride to be’s family…our bride and groom would get ready for their intimate and personal family wedding at their family home in the heart of London’s Holland Park. We wanted to use hints of autumnal colours in our colour palette to reflect the changing of the seasons and the cosiness of short days, longer nights, candles and artisan coffee in bed.
The vision was of a down to earth and paired back Nordic chic feel mixed with the elegance of a fine art aesthetic and a hint of french romanticism.
If you want to be kept up to date on when the next edition will be taking place make sure you drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org !
A huge thanks goes this this incredible team of creatives who I couldn’t have done this project without:
