The Nordic Way, 19th-20th September 2017, London.
A Fine Art Wedding Photography Workshop with a difference…
When I first joined the wedding industry as a wedding photographer, my first port of call was to attend as many wedding photography workshops as possible. I was starting from scratch and I knew next to nothing about websites, running a business, SEO, how to get clients or pricing my services. One photography workshop experience which has stuck in my mind to this day, is one of the main reason I wanted to launch The Nordic Way…
I arrived at one particular workshop, I was nervous and I felt seriously out of place. I remember entering the workshop location and despite my faux confidence kicking in by introducing myself to other attendees and the speakers, I found myself somehow marginalised to the corner of the kitchen as everyone continued their conversations. I stood there for what seemed like ages feeling more and more out of place and effectively ignored.
I remember thinking even then, one day I’m going to run a Fine Art Wedding Photography workshop and I am going to greet and welcome every single person and make them feel welcome, relaxed and confident.
People may not remember exactly what you did or what you said but they will always remember how you made them feel
– Maya Angelou.
‘The Nordic Way’ Fine Art Wedding Photography Workshop was born out of my desire to create a workshop for newer wedding photographers who have either just started their business within the Fine Art Wedding style or would like to transition over.
I want to give something back to this is industry which I love, help new wedding photographers find their feet and do so using Danish Hygge as my inspiration!
Hygge (pronounced ‘Hoogah’)
-A quality of cosiness and comfortable conviviality that engenders a feeling of contentment or well-being (regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish Culture)
I want to give that to my workshop attendees I want them to feel supported and encouraged and a part of something. A movement to raise your game and be better in a crowded market place, a community and a support network!
So if you’re reading this and you’re feeling a mixture of the below:
– I don’t know where to start…
– SEO – I haven’t got a clue
– My weddings don’t look like the ones on the wedding blogs / magazines
– I’m getting no enquiries
– I feel alone and frustrated
– I don’t know who to ask for help
– No one comments on my instagram posts
– I honestly haven’t got a clue where I should be pricing myself.
Then I urge you to join us at The Nordic Way! I feel so very strongly that attendees will walk away from this workshop feeling inspired and armed with right tools to propel their business forward, so if you’re ready to take control of your business and your future, come join us, I guarantee you won’t regret it!
AND if you book in the month of JUNE you’ll qualify for the early bird discount of £100!
