A Fine Art Wedding Photographer London – What to Expect
I’m a big believer in quick response times, I simply can’t stand waiting for an answer and I know my clients appreciate a quick reply.
You can expect that on your wedding day I will be a calming presence, polite & friendly to every single person at your wedding or working your wedding, I wont be bossy or loud or overbearing, I know this day is very much about you and I always want to be as subtle and unobtrusive as possible.
You can expect that I will always try to over promise and over deliver yes you heard that right, I will go above and beyond for you, I want to surprise and delight my clients at every opportunity! I believe in unexpected post surprises, making the ordinary that bit more special and generally giving you an experience not just imagery.
I am very happy to be your sounding board. I have worked in this industry a good few years now and have met some incredible wedding suppliers along the way so if you need a recommendation please don’t hesitate to ask!
If you haven’t hired a fine art wedding photographer in london before you might not be familiar with the process so let me go through it with you:
Once I have a signed contract & transferred 50% non-refundable retainer I consider myself booked for your wedding!
About a month from the wedding I will contact you to ask you to fill out a pre-wedding info form with the schedule, all the addresses, contact phone numbers as well as a list of suppliers who will be working your day.
The balance payment is then due a month before the wedding itself.
The day after the wedding I will send you sneak peeks – why? Because I think it such a shame when people share crappy iPhone shots of beautiful brides and grooms when they’ve spent so much money and effort on looking perfect!
6-8 weeks after the wedding day is when I deliver your “First View Slideshow’. When I deliver a wedding I don’t just send you a bunch of digital files. I send an email (usually on a Friday afternoon because I think it’s nice to review wedding photos on a Friday evening after a busy week) telling you that your photographs are ready and that I have put together a ‘first view slideshow’ of some of my favourite shots of the day which tell the story of the wedding day, set to music. I will instruct you to watch it TOGETHER with a glass of champagne! Why do I do this? It takes time & it costs money to do but I do it because I want my couples to re-live their wedding day. They are receiving this slideshow most likely before their wedding video so this is their first experience of their wedding imagery and I want it to be special!
Once you have seen your first view slideshow I give you access to your images in a digital gallery & send you your USB stick in an heirloom linen box in the post with prints & a handwritten thank you note. I like to remind my couples that digital files do not exist unless are saved in 3 different places. I will also let you know to get in touch to get your wedding album made up!
